A timeless love story of broken promises and second chances…
Even as high school sweethearts, Mona Beth Adams believed her Texas cowboy-rancher was the only man for her. But life intervened, stealing away the only man she’d ever love. Then a second chance reunites the couple until a dusty stack of unopened love letters and potentially terminal illness forces them to sift through the painful past. Only as they retrace history will they learn the truth about the broken promise that threatens to come between them. But can their relationship endure the deception and sabotage they unearth, or will the experience compel them to trust more fully in the promises that never fail?

Interview With The Author
Q – Why write stories about a small fictional town in Texas?
A – I grew up in a small Texas town, so I know all the pros and cons and absolute blessings of living in a place like Miller’s Creek–a laid-back, down-home lifestyle, wonderful folks, and even a few who think it’s their job to know everyone’s personal business. The stories were designed to give readers an experience of feeling like they’ve arrived at a place that feels like home.
Although the Miller’s Creek novels are technically classified as romances, they’re really so much more: southern fiction, women’s fiction (though I have a surprisingly high amount of men readers), suspense, comedy, drama, even a little bit of psychological thriller thrown in to keep readers turning pages. And each of the books carry a distinctive spiritual theme as well as an overall journey theme for the series. (Hence words like roads, path, way, pilgrimage, and bridge in the titles.)
Q – In what order should the books be read?
A – The books were created as stand-alone novels, so they can be read in any order. However, if you have OCD issues like me, you might want to read them in the order in which they were written:
-A PATH LESS TRAVELED
-THE WAY OF GRACE
-PILGRIMAGE OF PROMISE
-A BRIDGE UNBROKEN (and its companion Bible study on the theme of forgiveness, THE FRAGRANCE OF CRUSHED VIOLETS)
-CROSSROADS (Coming Soon)
Q – So why will readers be interested in the Miller’s Creek novels?
A – Based on reader reviews, I’d say the books are compelling reads for these five main reasons:
1. They make readers laugh one minute and tear up the next.
2. They offer plenty of conflict and tension to keep readers turning pages.
3. The setting is compelling. (Some readers have compared Miller’s Creek to Mayberry, only Texas-style. And I’ve lost count of how many readers have told me they want to live in Miller’s Creek.)
4. The characters are endearing and relatable.
5. The books’ themes are spiritually impactful.
In addition, all the books are rated at 4.5 stars or higher.
Q – Have any plans to bundle the series into a collection?
A – Actually the first three books have been bundled. Readers can check out my Amazon author page for a full list of my book titles, including the collection. And a big shout out to my reader friends: Thanks for reading!

Sydney Lassiter has the perfect life—glamour, wealth, and all the high-society status to go with it. But something is telling her that she needs to return to the sleepy little town of Stoney Creek, Alabama where she grew up. She hasn’t been there since her father was killed in a boating accident—or was he murdered? She takes a job as a safety consultant at the local sawmill—the same place where her father worked—and sets out to discover the truth about his death.
In Stoney Creek, you don’t ask the kinds of questions Sydney is asking. There are too many secrets—secrets that someone will do anything to keep hidden. To complicate matters, Sydney becomes enmeshed in a confusing love quadrangle involving two men, and the other woman, who seems to want both of them. And both men seem to have some connection to the death of her father.
The closer Sydney gets to the truth, the more it seems that her quest could destroy not only her but the people and town she has come to love.

Julia Dorning is a spinster, or at least on the road to becoming one. She has no social life, hates her career, and lives in her parent’s basement with her cat, Charlie.
With the arrival of Jared Moody, the new hire at work, Julia’s mundane life is suddenly turned upside down. Her instant (and totally ridiculous) crush on the new guy causes Julia to finally make some long-overdue changes, in hopes to find a life that includes more than baking and hanging out with Charlie.
But when the biggest and most unexpected change comes, will the new and improved Julia be able to overcome it? Or will she go back to her spinster ways?
Regan Anderson can’t wait any longer to meet Mr. Right, so she’s taken matters into her own hands. She’s quit her job, given up her nice apartment and undergone all the preliminary appointments to prepare for artificial insemination. Still, becoming a single mother is daunting, so when she spots Mason’s Wife Wanted ad on the Internet one night, she’s ready for a few laughs. She’s sure the ad must be fake, but when Mason answers back, she soon finds herself wanting more than a long distance relationship.
If Mason can just keep her talking until he makes it home from Afghanistan, he’s sure he can convince Regan he’s her man. But when he whisks her off for a trial run in Chance Creek, they’re in for an unpleasant surprise. The ranch is in ruins, the house has been stripped, and they’re going to have to work day and night to beat Mason’s deadline to win it back.
Can two strangers pull together against all odds? Or is this mission doomed to fail?
